Taylor named president of Wesley Hall

Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, February 18, 2013

HICKORY, N.C. - Zack Taylor has been named president of Wesley Hall, a North Carolina upholstery manufacturer. Taylor most recently was senior vice president of sales and marketing at fabric source Valdese Weavers, where he worked for 20 years.
As Wesley Hall president he succeeds Eddie Deal, who has been named chairman and CEO.
Deal said that Taylor also will have an equity position in the company.

Ron Deal, Eddie's father, is stepping down as chairman of the company after 47 years in the furniture industry, but plans to remain active in the "day-today facets of the business" as well as special projects, officials said.
"Our family has enjoyed a close friendship and strong personal bond with Zack for many years," Eddie Deal said. "Having known Zack for over 25 years, I cannot be more excited about his decision to join our company. He has a unique combination of creativity and marketing sense that will serve us well."
"Wesley Hall represents an amazing combination of personal heritage and new energy for my career and creativity," Taylor said. "Celebrating the company's strengths while helping to realize the opportunities of a new era will be the challenge of my lifetime."
