IFDA accepting applications for college scholarships

NEW YORK — The International Furnishings and Design Assn. is accepting applications during March for scholarships it offers through its Educational Foundation.

According to an announcement from IFDA's New York chapter, six scholarships are available in amounts ranging from $1,500 to $3,000. Five are open to undergraduates and one is for a graduate student.

Several professional grants also are available this year.

IFDA awards up to four $1,000 Chapter Partnership Grants a year. Deadlines for application are March 15 and Aug. 15.

Six other professional grants will be awarded in amounts ranging from $1,000 to $2,000. Applications will be accepted June 1-30.

The organization also offers New Chapter Development Grants of $1,000 to aid newly formed chapters in educational programs. There's no deadline to apply.

Information on applying for the scholarships and grants is available on the IFDA Educational Foundation website, www.ifdaef.org.
