Hickory Springs adds 7-inch ProAct innerspring unit

HICKORY, N.C. — Components manufacturer Hickory Springs has expanded its ProACT line of innerspring products with the introduction of a 7-inch innerspring unit.

The new unit, which complements the 6-inch ProACT unit unveiled last year, features an open-end offset coil design that uses heavy 13.75-gauge wire.

"As mattress manufacturers seek to control costs, the 7-inch ProACT innerspring provides them with a taller unit that enables them to reduce costs while maintaining the integrity of the mattress," said Rick Anthony, director of sales for the bedding products division. "As a result, manufacturers will be able to keep prices low without sacrificing quality."

He said both ProACT units feature Hickory Springs' patented InChex technology, which neutralizes motion transfer.

"That reduces partner disturbances while balancing one's body for a stable, balanced sleeping surface and a perfect night's sleep," Anthony said.

ProACT innersprings are available in 357 and 396 coil counts, and can also be foam encased.
