Furniture Galaxy, Serta Canada win dRSG top honors for 2013

Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, February 25, 2013

TORONTO - The Dufresne Retail Solutions Group has named Furniture Galaxy of Cold Lake and Bonnyville, Alberta, as its Member of the Year for 2013, and named Serta Canada as its Supplier of the Year.
The presentations were made at the recently concluded Canadian Home Furnishings Market here.
Steve Braniff, dRSG director, said the Member of the Year Award goes to the member who achieves the sales increase for the year. Murray Murphy and his son, Teegan, owners of the two-unit Furniture Galaxy, had the group's highest annual increase in 2012.
Before the opening of this year's Canadian Home Furnishings Market in Toronto, dRSG held a full day of meetings for its members, capped off with a gala dinner and awards presentation, which saluted the 15 original members who joined the group when it was launched in 2006.
The group, in collaboration with Whirlpool Canada and CitiFinancial, also gave away three trips for two to either Florida or Hawaii to three attending members - Lounsbury Furniture of Moncton, New Brunswick; McKarr's Furniture of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; and Birt's Furniture of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
