Art Van Furniture launches new cleaning service

WARREN, Mich. — Art Van Furniture is getting into the floor cleaning business.

In a release, the Top 100 company said it has teamed with Floor Savers Maintenance & Restoration to start a new metro Detroit home cleaning service called Clean Team by Art Van.

The new service will have full-time employees certified in carpet and upholstery cleaning as well as water damage restoration, the Warren, Mich.-based furniture retailer said. Services include cleaning of carpets, tile and grout, wood floors and upholstery. Customers can pay for the service using an Art Van credit card.

The business is led by President Marc Munyan, who founded Floor Savers - primarily a commercial cleaning service - in 2001 and has more than 25 years of experience in the floor cleaning business.

Terms of the partnership were not disclosed.

"Clean Team is just one more way that Art Van Furniture has sought to serve our guests," Art Van Chairman Art Van Elslander said in a release. "Marc and his team have a long track record of providing exemplary service that will help preserve the quality and beauty of these treasured belongings."

Munyan said, "Millions of homeowners already welcome Art Van Furniture into their homes.... It only makes sense that we would want to take that next step and help maintain the overall beauty of their houses."
