Harold ‘Harry' Francis Bassett, industry sales

ELK RIVER, Minn. - Harold "Harry" Francis Bassett, a longtime sales representative, has died of pancreatic cancer at age 63.
Bassett worked in the home furnishings business for almost 40 years and was a sales rep for Magnussen Home Furnishings, Simon Li and Jackson/Catnapper Furniture.
Bassett has been named a 2013 Dean of IHFRA from the North Central chapter. His sons, Christopher and Bryan, will accept the award in his memory at the International Home Furnishings Representatives Assn. Presidential Gala on the eve of the April High Point Market.
Bassett, a Native American, served on many boards and committees on behalf of his Fond du Lac Reservation in Cloquet, Minn. He was also a member of the Anoka Area Shrine Club and the Zuhrah Drum Corps and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his sons, he is survived by his wife, two grandsons, his mother, two sisters, a brother and several nieces and nephews.
