STI, Design Resources ally to sell fabric, bonded leather products

KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. — Fabric producer STI has formed an alliance with bonded leather supplier Design Resources to jointly sell and market their articles.
STI, which produces dobby and jacquard fabrics domestically and imports a variety of suede and padded suede products, said the addition of Design Resources' popular NextLeather line is a benefit for STI customers.
"We have dabbled in this category ... (but) nothing we have developed on our own compares to the NextLeather bonded leather line," said Sean Gibbons, CEO of STI. "Alan Naness, the owner of Design Resources, is an incredibly creative guy and his NextLeather products are superior to anything we have seen in the market in terms of both quality and aesthetics."
The two companies will be showing their articles together at next month's Showtime fabric show in High Point in STI's showroom on the sixth floor of the Market Square Textile Tower. The event takes place June 2-5.
"The whole STI team is really excited to bring such market leading products to our customers," Gibbons said.
