LOS ANGELES - Home furnishings manufacturer and importer Abbyson Living said it has opened quality control offices in Southeast Asia to ensure the high levels of craftsmanship.
The new QC offices are in Dongguan, China; Jakarta, Indonesia, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The company has a staff of 45 to handle quality control for all Abbyson product lines, according to Homaira Shifa, marketing coordinator.
The China office opened last year and the Indonesia and Malaysia offices opened earlier this year.
The offices will be close to Abbyson manufacturing facilities and in communication with its corporate office in Los Angeles.
Abbyson's quality control process includes prototype approval, inspection of incoming raw materials, inline inspection, final inspection, packaging inspection and loading inspection, among other items.
Abbyson said it plans to open additional quality control offices in Germany and Italy, where the company purchases some materials.
