Cohn succeeds Potter in sales post at Zucora

LONDON, Ontario - Furniture protection specialist Zucora has named David Cohn as national sales manager. He succeeds Rick Potter, who recently retired from the company as vice president of sales.
Before joining Zucora, Cohn held sales management positions at Caber Sure Fit. Prior to that, he had a 20- year career in the food and restaurant industry.
At Zucora, he will be responsible for the company's national network of sales agents as well as a number of national retail partners. He reports to Brad Geddes, president and CEO of the family owned company, formerly known as Magi Seal.
"David is joining us at the perfect time," Geddes said in a statement. "With his knowledge of protection programs, David will help us continue our substantial growth."
Geddes also saluted Potter for his 50-year career in the Canadian home furnishings industry, the past seven of which were with Zucora, saying he always seemed to create a positive impression, thanks to an infectious sense of humor.
"His friends and colleagues describe Potter as honest, humble and respectful with just a twinkle of adventure having spent most of his career on the road," Geddes said.
To commemorate his dedication to the industry and in appreciation for his loyalty to Zucora, the Geddes family has announced the creation of the Junior Achievement Richard A. Potter Sales Leadership Scholarship Award. An award recipient will be selected from aspiring young sales applicants every year from the local chapter of Junior Achievement of London & District.
Potter has agreed to assist Zucora in an advisory role as he eases into a more relaxed lifestyle.
