Hussey leaves Furniture Brands board

ST. LOUIS - Kent J. Hussey has resigned from the board of directors for Furniture Brands International.
The company said that Hussey resigned in late August. His decision to resign as a director was not due to any disagreements with the company, a Securities and Exchange Commission filing said.
Hussey started as a director in May 2012. He retired from consumer products manufacturer Spectrum Brands, where he was CEO, in 2010. Spectrum Brands emerged from bankruptcy protection in 2009. Hussey also serves on the board of American Woodmark.
In its proxy statement earlier this year, FBI said Hussey brought experience in corporate finance, international operations and strategic planning to the company.
Furniture Brands stock is now trading on the OTCQB Marketplace, having moved last month from the New York Stock Exchange.
