Hooker Furniture hires Pat Watson as VP of merchandising

MARTINSVILLE, Va. — Case goods and upholstery source Hooker Furniture has named Pat Watson vice president of merchandising.
He will focus on product development of bedroom and dining room in the good and better segment of Hooker's product line and will report to Hank Long, senior vice president of merchandising.
Watson has extensive merchandising experience in case goods, most recently as vice president of merchandising at Legacy Classic. Previously, he worked in merchandising roles at A.R.T. Furniture and Magnussen.

"Pat's background and proven track record will be a great asset, and his personality is a perfect fit for our organization."
Cindy Hall, director of merchandising, will focus on the upper end of Hooker's dining and bedroom line, as well as the Mélange/Accent Furniture categories and the Workwell home office line.
Long will continue to develop the home office and home entertainment categories, both freestanding lines and within collections.
