Tri-State HFA to recognize Gilberg, Maricich

PHILADELPHIA - International Market Centers CEO Robert Maricich and attorney Kenneth Gilberg are among the individuals to be honored at the Tri-State Home Furnishings Assn.'s annual awards dinner in November.
Maricich is the Tri-State Home Furnishings Assn.'s 2013 Person of the Year, and Gilberg will receive the group's Humanitarian Award.
Maricich was selected due to his vision and development of the strategy to create the merger of the International Home Furnishings Center, Showplace properties, Market Square properties in High Point and the World Market Center in Las Vegas, officials said.
Prior to joining World Market Center in 2008, Maricich held executive roles at several manufacturers. Gilberg, who works in Cherry Hill, N.J.-based Flaster/Greenberg PC's Philadelphia offices, has been an active member of the Tri-State HFA for several years and serves as the organization's preferred legal counsel.
Earlier this year, Gilberg was the 2013 Gold Medallion Honoree by Golden Slipper Club and Charities, a nonprofit organization supporting programs and services for the greater Philadelphia area's youth, needy and elderly.
He also received the 2010 Jewish Business Network Leadership Award from the Jewish Business Network, a project of the Jewish Heritage Programs dedicated to the success of the Jewish professional community.
Ed Myers will receive the Hall of Fame honor this year. He is past president of Tri-State group and the International Home Furnishings Representatives Assn., and continues to serve IHFRA as financial advisor and has remained active on Tri-State HFA's board of directors.
Other awards also will be presented, including retailer and representative of the year, the Congeniality Award, and honors for display and advertising, as well as senior service and youth recognition.
The Tri-State awards dinner will be held on Nov. 12 at the Crowne Plaza on City Line Avenue in Philadelphia. For further information on attending this event, contact Cathy Reed at (215) 646-5831.
