Woodham forms new purchasing firm

HIGH POINT - Industry veteran Gary Woodham has formed GTW Sales here, which is in the business of purchasing furniture showroom samples and c l o s e o u t s for Heavner F u r n i t u r e Market, with stores in Raleigh and Smithfield, N.C.
Woodham has worked in the furniture industry - both the retail and supply sides - for 46 years, most recently as vice president of Colfax Furniture in Greensboro, N.C.
He also has served as a manufacturer's representative for Clayton Marcus and Norwalk Furniture. On the retail side, Woodham's experience includes positions with the former Atlanta-based Rhodes Furniture, where he got his start in the industry, and the former Morgan Stewart of Hickory, N.C. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, he owned and operated the former National Furniture in Thomasville, N.C.
Woodham said GTW Sales eventually will expand to buy product for multiple retailers.
