HIGH POINT - Leggett & Platt's Consumer Products Group will occupy a new showroom at this month's High Point Market that will offer a wide assortment of beds, adjustable beds and other bedding and sleep accessories.
At the Oct, 19-24 market, the company will occupy about 12,000 square feet of space in C-1165 of the International Home Furnishings Center. This is a few thousand square feet smaller than its previous location in IHFC C-603, but is in a high traffic area near Serta, which shows in space H-1141.
"We expect to benefit from the traffic. At the end of the day it is about location, location, location," said Herman Tam, vice president of marketing for the Consumer Products Group, who said the company is also investing in remodeling the space to better serve its customers.
"With rising consumer confidence and the recovering housing market, we are convinced that purchases of bedding products and accessories will grow," Tam added. "We at CPG want to help retailers as they prepare for the increase in consumer demand. Visitors to our brand new High Point showroom will see that we have a wide range of high-quality products in the latest designs, and that we can help retailers offer a little something extra to their customers."
During the market the company also is offering buyers a chance to win prizes, including iPad minis and $100 Ruth's Chris Steak House gift cards through its "A Little Something Extra" showroom game.
