Councill to unveil new brand logo, website

DENTON, N.C. - High-end case goods and upholstery manufacturer Councill is unveiling a new logo, website and marketing materials that support a new brand direction for the company.
The new corporate identity will reflect the company's position as an industry style leader as well as a broadened product line that has occurred with the company's acquisition of Thomas & Gray announced in July.
"Our vision was to create a brand identity that visually represented their stylized interpretations of neoclassical designs," said Tom Tilley, the previous owner of Thomas & Gray and the new CEO of Councill.
The new logo, website and marketing materials will be officially unveiled at company's 200 Steele showroom at this month's High Point Market. They were developed with creative guidance from Lennon & Associates, a Los Angeles-based marketing and communications agency.
The Thomas & Gray product line that's produced in Bogota, Colombia, will also be represented in the showroom, offering dealers a more moderate price point within the line. Councill's line is produced in Denton, N.C. for residential, contract and hospitality markets.
"The relationship between Councill and Thomas & Gray is symbiotic, offering a wider range of price points and design elements to reach new markets," Tilley said, adding that this fall, Thomas & Gray will offer 22 new "casual" pieces that "differ aesthetically from Councill's highly stylized formal products."
"Eventually, I see the products of Councill and Thomas & Gray fully complementing one another with Thomas & Gray operating as a division of Councill," Tilley added.
The new website will unveil just before market, Tilley said. Councill's current website can be viewed at www.councill.com and the Thomas & Gray site is at www.thomasandgray.com.
