Due Process Stable Trading EDISON, N.J. - Due Process Stable Trading Co. has promoted Emanuel Rivera to vice president of customer service.
Rivera joined Due Process in 2011 as a sales representative. In his new capacity, he will lead the rug company's customer service efforts following its move to its larger facility in Lumberton, N.C.
"Manny has a proven background in providing our customers with exemplary service, and we look forward to having him expand his efforts in his new role as Due Process continues to grow," said David Grasse, DPST president.
CALHOUN, Ga. - Lynne Meredith is joining area rug and home accessories manufacturer Surya as vice president of product development, the company announced.
Meredith will manage design and product development for Surya's rugs, as well as for the company's growing home accessories offerings, including pillows, poufs, throws, art and accent furniture. She reports to Satya Tiwari, Surya president.
"Lynne brings a wealth of knowledge and industry expertise to our company," said Tiwari. "Her in-depth understanding of textile and rug construction, along with a highly refined sense of color, texture and pattern and ability to anticipate design trends will enable us to offer even more innovative and fashion-forward products to meet the needs of our customers."
Prior to joining Surya, Meredith held leadership roles in design and development for global companies such as Trade AM International and Kingfisher Group, during which time she traveled extensively in India and China.
With a focus on bringing to market inspired and relevant products across all price points, Surya has been increasing its investment in product development. In the past year, the company expanded its rug designs from 2,000 to 4,000 while also launching a new accent furniture collection.
SAN DIEGO - Jero me's Furniture here has promoted Megann Handley to director of merchandising, a new position at the retailer.
Handley will be responsible for the management of the buying department and merchandise plan. Her key focus will be on inventory controls, merchandising of goods, vendor relations and interdepartmental communications, the company said.
Handley joined the Top 100 company in 2010 as an assistant buyer and quickly took on additional responsibilities. In 2012, she was promoted to merchandising manager.
"Megann is a tremendous asset to both our department, and the company," said Andy Andreotti, the retailer's vice president of merchandising. "Her eye, her skills, and her passion all work together to create the ideal director of merchandising for Jerome's."
Jerome's operates eight full line showroom locations as well as a clearance center at its distribution center. A ninth showroom is opening later this year in Torrance, Calif.
