Twenty-two of the finalists were high school students, with the rest from post-secondary schools.
Schools with multiple finalists included Cedar Ridge High School, near Chapel Hill, N.C.; David Douglas High School, Portland, Ore.; Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah; Appalachian State University, Boone, N.C.; Auburn University, Auburn, Ala.; University of Kentucky, Lexington, Ky.; and Georgia Tech, Atlanta. |
