Giveaway celebrates opening of renovated InterHallHIGH POINT — Jane Blickenstaff, a designer in Lynchburg, Va., won a drawing for a new cherry-red Vespa scooter from the International Home Furnishings Center here.
Several thousand High Point marketgoers entered the drawing, which was held to celebrate the opening of the IHFC’s expanded and renovated InterHall area.
Blickenstaff, who owns design firm Blickenstaff & Associates, signed up for the drawing in the Best of Contemporary Italian Design Showcase in InterHall, then dropped her registration card at one of the 15 Italian showrooms highlighted in the showcase.
She joked that the only problem with winning is that her husband and her daughter, a student at the University of Georgia, are fighting over who will use the scooter.
“I’m really afraid we’re going to have to buy another one,” she said.
