Williams-Sonoma division plans N.C. upholstery plant

Sutter Street to create 820 jobs in Hickory

HICKORY— A division of Williams-Sonoma is planning to open an upholstery distribution and manufacturing facility here, according to news reports.

The division, Sutter Street, which sells to Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn and other William-Sonoma store brands, should create jobs for 820 people in addition to the 50 people it already employs here.
