Will occupy 15,000 square feet in Building CLAS VEGAS — The Specialty Sleep Assn. will open a permanent 15,000-square-foot showroom in World Market Center’s Building C this summer, the association announced. The SSA had been exhibiting in temporary space at the Las Vegas Market.
It said the space will showcase a range of innovative new specialty sleep products.
“Memory foam, latex, air, gel, water, adjustable, natural and organic bedding products continue to fuel the growth of the bedding industry,” said SSA President Dale Read. “This category is expected to reach 40% market share by the end of 2010. Specialty sleep is on fire and this new space will represent a more dynamic and convenient showcase for manufacturers and suppliers to meet and do business with retailers.”
Since the World Market Center opened several years ago, the SSA has contracted for temporary space for its members in the WMC’s Pavilion showrooms.
“Our new space will not only be a showcase for our members, but will allow us to have a more active presence that we can use to promote the category. It will be much more of a destination for retail buyers than in the past,” said Read.
The SSA has created a number of space options for member companies, as well as a fee schedule depending on the number of shows companies contract for. Companies who contract for multiple shows will also be able to store their product in their spaces year round, SSA said.
