Shows low levels of potassium before heart stoppage

DENVER — Leslie Fishbein was suffering from low levels of potassium in her blood before receiving injections that led to her heart stopping and her accidental death, according to a medical examiner’s autopsy report.

Fishbein, president of retailer Kacey Fine Furniture, had received injections of the medicine bupivicaine for back pain before her death last month at age 55, according to a report in today’s Rocky Mountain News.
