Sources say singer will headline opening night gala

LAS VEGAS — Do ya think the furniture market is sexy?
Sources close to the World Market Center say that rock superstar Rod Stewart is on tap to headline the WMC’s opening night gala at the summer market, July 28.
Stewart, best known for his distinctive and raspy voice, came to prominence in the 1960s with the Jeff Beck Group and later with The Faces. Soon after, he began a successful solo career that has earned him a string of hit singles and made him one of the best-selling musical artists of the rock era.
