SINGAPORE — Brian Parker has been named president of leather upholstery specialist HTL Furniture, HTL International’s North American division.
Parker has been in the industry for 17 years, most recently as president of EasyTrend, the motion upholstery division of Robinson & Robinson. Earlier, he was national sales manager at the company, and previously was in the retail furniture business in Oklahoma City.
Parker, who is based near Dallas, reports to Y. T. Phua, group managing director of HTL International. The North American position had been vacant for at least a year.
“I am excited to have this unique opportunity to work with Mr. Phua at this juncture of HTL’s marketing thrust and to make a mark in the North American market with innovatively designed leather upholstered furniture,” Parker said.
At Robinson & Robinson, a search will be conducted to fill his spot, said Group President Peter Robinson.
