Dozen exhibitors show at World Market Center

LAS VEGAS — A group of Vietnamese manufacturers is showing at the Las Vegas Market in hopes of doing more container-direct business with U.S. retailers.
The dozen exhibitors include indoor and outdoor furniture producers and some lumber processing companies.
They are showing in a 4,800-square-foot space in the World Market Center, C-478, called the Vietnam Trade Center Pavilion.
The companies are participating in the market with the help of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency and the Handicraft and Wood Assn. of Ho Chi Minh City.
Exsero Ltd. U.S.A., a Washington, D.C.-based sourcing agency with years of expertise dealing with Vietnamese wood producers, is helping the companies and agencies promote the pavilion.
Officials said the display will aim to highlight the woodworking expertise of Vietnamese-owned and -operated factories.
Participants with indoor furniture include:
-
Scansia Mfg. Group, whose subsidiaries include Scansia Pacific and International Furniture Group, with a line of mostly transitional bedrooms including some with Arts & Crafts, cottage or Scandinavian design influences.
-
Rizzon Furniture, with mostly transitional and contemporary bedrooms and dining rooms in light and dark finishes.
-
Trucxinh Bamboo, with a line of transitional and contemporary beds, chairs, sofas and room dividers made with bamboo and other natural woven materials.
-
Sadaco, with a line of mostly transitional bedroom, casual dining, home entertainment and occasional pieces, some with Arts & Crafts or rustic style finishes.
-
Troung Thanh Furniture, with mostly rustic bedroom, dining room, bookcases and other occasional pieces.
In addition to showing a small part of their lines, these and other companies are expected to have photos showing other items, said Jeff Dilley, managing principal of Exsero.
Some of the companies have shown in similar Vietnamese pavilions in Las Vegas in the past and are already doing business in the United States, Dilley added.
Many also show their lines at the Ho Chi Minh City International Furniture & Handicrafts Fair each October.
Other international groups exhibiting at this week’s Las Vegas Market include a group of Indonesian furniture producers showing in the Living Green Pavilion (C-5700) and Brazilian companies showing in the Abimovel space (B-600-602).
Also, pieces from 13 Italian designers and manufacturers are on display in the Design Italiano exhibit on the first floor of Building C.
