Vegas tip: Poker tournament benefits autism
Today we take a break from the daily poker game that is played in the mattress industry (that’s just a metaphor, you
realize) and turn to a real poker game.
This real poker game will unfold Tuesday night, at one of the historic Las Vegas casinos, Binion’s. It will be a Texas Hold’em
Tournament, and it will benefit the fight to help those afflicted with autism.
The event is the brainchild of Doug Krinsky, sales manager for a Restonic licensee, who has an autistic son. He has worked
tirelessly to make this tournament happen, reaching out to those across the industry. Joining him as hosts are three other bedding executives whose families have been touched by autism, Randy Coconis, owner of Coconis Furniture in Zanesville, Ohio, Joseph Amato, owner of Mattress Matters in Cleveland, and Stuart Carlitz, owner of Eclipse Sleep Products.
Some top mattress retailers, including PMD Furniture Direct, have already pledged their support to the event.
Registration gets under way at Binion’s at 6 p.m. on Sept. 15, with the tournament starting at 7 p.m.
This is a worthy cause. I hope you can find time in your busy Las Vegas schedule to support it.

Can we make a donation even if we are unable to attend?
