Bedding insiders give Colts the edge
Fresh from the Las Vegas Market, I offer a couple of Super Bowl insights for your consideration.
First: Peyton Manning, perhaps the most important player on the field on Super Bowl Sunday, is ready to play, and the Colts “will give it their best shot.”
Those words of wisdom are from Peyton’s father, Archie, who was the featured speaker at the Bedding Kickoff at the World Market Center Tuesday night. He delivered a well-received speech on the importance of leadership in business. Several top bedding execs were in the audience for his speech and told me they were impressed with Manning’s message.
I also offer this prediction on the outcome of the big game: The Colts have a slight edge.
Before our Bedding Roundtable got under way Tuesday morning, I asked six major bedding producers for their Super Bowl picks. Tony Smith of International Bedding, Louis Bachicha of Sealy and Steve Fendrich of Simmons all picked the Colts. Bob Sherman of Serta, Dave Roberts of Comfort Solutions and Rick Anderson of Tempur-Pedic picked the Saints.
That made for a split group. Tony Smith then asked me for my prediction. I said I’m going with the Colts.
So there you have it: The Colts have a slight edge.
I hope you enjoy Super Bowl weekend.
I’ll be back here next week with my thoughts on Vegas mattress winners.

Dave, the Saints winning the Super Bowl is a big boost for the City of New Orleans. Like they say "On any given Sunday" well on last Sunday the Saints were a better coached team. There is no doubt that Peyton Manning is the best on the NFL but Drew Brees conquered the reigning hero. Good for the Saints from a 49er faithful.
