Knew Dave thru our Vymac business. Very sad to have such a accident happen toa industry leader at a young age. My sincere sympathies to his wife, children and family.

The Industry has lost a friend and leader. I personally had the pleasure of working with Dave on several of the aforementioned ISPA committees and boards. Always outspoken and unafraid to express his thoughts on any subject without being jaded by a political filter. His vision and passion will be missed. I too was in that room with you Mr. Perry... and will always remember my friend Dave Young watching from his lofty vantage point... My deepest respect for a fellow Mattress Man.. My deepest condolences to his lovely wife and children.

Dave was passionate about his family, friends, business, and industry. He was ahead of the curve in almost every aspect of our industry. The loss of Dave is devastating to his family, his friends, his company, and the industry. As great of a loss as I feel, losing a dear friend too soon, my loss is insignificant compared to others. A great man as left the building....

All week I've mourned the loss of my good friend, Dave. Of all his positive attributes that I will miss, the certainty of knowing where I stood with him (no hidden agendas) will be especially bittersweet.

Rest evermore in peace, Brother.

This is very sad news indeed. When I first met him, it was evident that Dave had real passion for our industry, his business, the people he worked with and without a doubt his family and friends. I was lucky enough to have some of the most indepth and thoughtful conversations about the mattress and sleep products industry with Dave. My condolences go out to Dave's family and friends....He will be missed.

I knew David, worked for him selling his Everloft soft goods products. Great guy, and very smart. The industry lost a good talent this weekend, and sadly his family will miss him more. My condolences to his family and those around him.

I didn't know Dave real well, but he seemed like a great guy, and a real innovator in our industry. Years ago when I was involved with the ISPA planning meetings I remember Dave putting together the industry’s first comprehensive mattress recycling program.
Dave was a real 'get 'er done' kind of guy...it's not surprising that he was working on his own car when this tragedy struck.
