Recession revelation: Furniture frenzy forthcoming??

I read a recent article in Forbes.com that confirmed my belief that every cloud does have a silver lining.

In the story, which you can read here  http://www.forbes.com/2009/03/31/consumer-behavior-recession-business-commerce-buying.html?partner=email , the writer says that the recession ( a bad thing) is likely to improve this year (a good thing).

But the bad news, according to the article, is that all the good deals that have been available to consumers, may slip away as the economy begins to rebound.

The good news for us in furnitureland is that furniture made the list of 10 things consumers should buy before the economy gets better.

Granted, we came in at number 10 on the list, but we made it!

The number-one item on the list was a house.  That’s fine with me.  Since we are tied to the housing market, the more homes sold, the better our chances of selling lots of furniture to put in those houses.

So, now that you know, don’t just sit there.  Forward this blog to all your family and friends and tell encourage them to hurry up and buy that furniture theyv’e been thinking about before it’s all gone.
