Let's pitch in and help
As you undoubtedly know, some 123 people lost their lives in Joplin, MO. as the result of a deadly EF-5 tornado.
Joplin is a mere 13 miles from Carthage, which is home to Leggett & Platt, a company that employs a number of my industry friends, including Mark Quinn, segment vice president of marketing.
Fortunately, Mark and his family are safe. Others, however, have stories that don't end as well.
Mark sent me an email to let me know he was fine and asked if I would share a link for people who wanted to help Joplin rebuild.
The link is www.facebook.com/joplinmo
Always at the head of the line to offer assistance, the L&P website also had this link for those who want to help out. http://leggett.com/disaster-relief-information.htm
One of the things I am most proud of regarding our industry is its willingness to help out in a crisis.
There's no better time for us come together and lend a hand.
I hope you will join me in trying to make a difference.
Mark, our prayers and thoughts go out to everyone impacted by these tornadoes.

she was doubtful of her abitily to lead the group. I saw it as a perfect opportunity to uphold the I, P, A of the SOM and offer her my fresh experience from leading 10 Powers of Dreaming. There were around 40 that showed up to her place last night. It was almost indescribable how honored I felt in leading these 40 people who had never heard of the Peace Covenant in this reading. Afterwards I asked them for their thoughts. One woman said, There's been so much talk about Unity Consciousness and that's the first time I truly experienced it! (Wow!)Another woman said, I love the part that talks about self-direction promoting inner peace. I never thought about the way we direct ourselves that promotes how peaceful we feel inside. The conversation unfolded beautifully into the ways we do create and how we want to create in our lives. I asked them what kind of friendships, families, and communities they envision being a part of and want to create. A man came up to me afterwards and said, I really appreciate you asking those questions. I've never been prompted to think about HOW I want to create those things. I see it was important for me to do that and also hearing others' perspectives really expanded my horizon. When talking about the Joplin Peace Garden, a man asked me if I could describe the influence that will have upon the people there (good question). I talked about the thought form of peace that will radiate through the city to offer people hope, healing, resolution, connectedness, and faith. We ended the night with a fire and a music/drum circle. People danced and had a great time. It was a clean, elevated fun that I really appreciated being a part of and having an influence upon. This past week there has been a continued theme in my life that provides a tremendous amount of gratitude I am part of a much greater plan and fulfilling a part of a much greater plan. I'm so grateful that those before me have pathed the way, providing substance such as the Universal Peace Covenant, in which all I have to do is give them out. I don't have to come up with it each time or re-create something profound to offer people I have inherited many profound things that I can offer people to enrich their lives. Thank you to all of you who have come before me and have given to us school-wide. Phenomenal experiences are happening because of your efforts. Thank you! Emily Ashley []

Creation in motion. We have just coptlemed a beautiful weekend at the College of Metaphysics called The Spirit of the Healer. Eighteen Healer's Portraits enlightened those who came to their unique healing presence in the world. At Sunday morning breakfast, one shared how she has asthma and has been relying on inhalers to make it through the day. When she thought about attending the weekend she worried that she would start coughing and she did, the first night. It was short-lived. The more important story is that she left her inhaler behind, on purpose, when she went to the Moon Valley Ranch (where those attending these extended learning weekends live during the weekend). One of the practices taught was a simple breathing exercise to learn conscious breathing. She learned how to incubate a dream and to express her healing portrait. By Sunday morning she was radiant as she told her story drug-free, breathing great and looking at a very different future. Her husband told his own story during the transformation wheel exercise Saturday night. His temperature rose quickly and unexpectedly, then retreated into chills, the response to changes in consciousness. Sunday morning he reported he felt great, better than ever. He didn't know what it was or how it happened, yet he knew he was very grateful. Another woman experienced unconditional love in profound ways she has longed for. Yet another, experienced her Real Self in a comically simple way when looking in the mirror. Dr. Laurel Clark taught dream incubation in the most comprehensive way to date and there were some revelatory dreams that I hope the dreamers report here. Dr. Daniel Condron aided each participant to receive the impact of the intuitive wisdom and shared his own through Universal Healing Truths, a book we hope to place on this site as a free download to aid in Joplin's healing. I was able to synthesize a decade of whole Mind work into a Journey into Light experience that encompasses the emotional doorways to love and light. This was the perfect session, at the perfect time. Stimulated by the Psiology Class I have the honor of teaching each month at the College of Metaphysics, we reached a new height for apprentices (Dr. Christine Madar, instructed), mentors (Dr. Laurel guided Karen Mosby), and participants from Chicago to Dallas. Joplin remained in our minds throughout as we have become intrinsically linked to this city at the edge of four states. I remember traveling to Joplin for a teachers meeting in 1977. It has tripled in size since then. When those who commute are included, Joplin considers itself the fourth largest city in the state. I look forward to re-establishing active contact with people in the area. It is part of the irony in life when what appears in the moment to be a disaster, in time, brings the goodness of new friends, and hopes fulfilled. Perhaps in time, a branch of SOM will once again open its doors in Joplin! Barbara Condron []
