Thanks for a Great Year from IHFRA
On behalf of the International Home Furnishings Representative's Association and the Executive Committee, I would like to wish you our holiday greetings and best wishes for a prosperous New Year.
As we look back on 2011 make sure you take some time out from the busyness of the season to reflect on all the things we have to be grateful for. We live in a great country. We work in an industry that many times feels like a family with joy and sorrow two sides of the same coin. It's filled with a lot of people who really care about each other. I have many great friends from all over the country, whose only connection is we work in the same industry trying to help better the lives of everyday Americans providing home furnishings. And besides, there are a lot worse occupations to have.
We had a fantastic year with IHFRA, the rep Association. We added lots of new benefits and a new website. We also increased our support of industry initiatives as well as increased our membership base. Small commercial plug: If you have not yet renewed your membership for 2012 you can still get the tax write off in 2011 by calling the office at 336-889-3920. If you would like more information to become a new member they can help you. Jennifer and Kathy have done a fantastic job for us this year so we are allowing them to keep shorter holiday hours but they will be working the last week of the year to help with any last minute IHFRA signups.
In 2012 we will have a number of new initiatives to help our member base. But as the year winds down, we won't talk shop anymore. Rather I'd like to wish you a healthy and happy end of 2011 as well as a terrific New Year.
Thanks for your support and comments to keep the site robust. Mike

I have a simmons sbeulmr king bed that i believe is at least 80 years old. the frame is wood with a headboard footboard and two side slats that inter lock with the head and foot boards. the spring looks like cast metal with flat metal slats that are connected with a bunch of small springs. do you have any information on the age of this product?
