It's your choice
I have just returned from a whirlwind trip of three weeks-working with two retailers in two separate parts of the country with a week in-between for attending the High Point Market.
I can't decide which of the many, many things I am thinking about would be most relevant for all of my readers so I am going to share a few and ask you to VOTE on what you would like me to write about in more depth.
Send your emails to leslie@tkpartnership.com. Vote on three topics and please rank them. Just send a numbered list, i.e, 2, 5 7. THANKS!
Here's the list of what's top of mind for me:
1. There are retailers who are using CREATIVE, EXCITING, FUN philanthropic community events as their key differentiator in their marketplace-would you, my readers, like some examples and like to know some of the results?
2. Why is turnover so high and what are retailers doing to mitigate it?
3. How can we develop and communicate a cohesive career path for recent graduates interested in entering the retail end of the home furnishings industry? Why should we do it as an industry-wide initiative?
4. Commission vs. non-commission-what are the benefits and what are the risks-two case studies.
5. What is local search and how is it going to impact your business and how can you use it to your benefit?
6. The power of asking your customers to be your partners in defining all aspects of your brand. How do you do it and why should you do it?
7. Why Hooker Furniture officially endorsed my creative design sales training program to its dealer network. How did the reps and retailers react and what are Hooker's strategic reasons for doing it?
8. Who is Gat Caperton and why is his company connecting with consumers so well?
What lessons can you take away from his magical blend?
9. E-Harmony for the home-it's almost here-what is it and how can you take advantage of it?
10. What is a "lovemark?" How can your company become one to your customers?
Ok, readers, please vote! I need your imput to make this as relevant as possible to you. If you have other topics you'd like to see covered, just let me know.
Again, email me at leslie@tkpartnership.com which is my new email address. You can also reach me at tkp@sbcglobal.net , too. Whichever you prefer. Or just post a comment below.
P.S. I didn't win the Mini-Cooper (see previous blog post), but I did get to IMAGINE what it would feel like for a few weeks-that was fun!
