The Writers Hall of Fame award was presented in April 1971 by the Southern Furniture Exposition Building to four persons in recognition of their service to consumers . The awards were made to (seated) Alice Alexander, Kroehler Manufacturing; and Shelba Cornelison, Furniture South; and (standing) Vera Hahn, American Home; and Elizabeth Hillyer, Chicago Tribune.
