Business analyst Marks to speak at FT Bedding Conference

gene marksHIGH POINT – Business analyst Gene Marks will share his insights at the Furniture Today Bedding Conference.

Marks will be a featured speaker at the conference, set for May 7-9 at the Westin La Paloma Resort in Tucson, Ariz.

For more than a decade, Marks has written on small business, the economy, public policy, technology and workplace issues for leading newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Forbes, Entrepreneur and The Guardian.

A certified public accountant and former senior manager at KPMG, Marks runs a financial and technology management consulting firm based near Philadelphia. He shares insights that his company gleans from its marketplace studies with business groups nationwide.

Marks is also a popular figure on television, frequently appearing on MSNBC, Fox Business, Sirius Radio, WABC Radio and CNBC.

He is the author of six best-selling books on business management, including “In God We Trust, Everyone Else Pays Cash” and “The Small Business Book of Lists.”

Therapedic International CEO Gerry Borreggine brought Marks to his company meeting last fall and was impressed with his presentation.

The Furniture Today Bedding Conference will feature a keynote by former NFL player Matt Mayberry. That session is sponsored by King Koil.

The Bedding Conference begins on May 7 with golf and with an industry charity event sponsored by King Koil. Registration follows later that day.

A full day of educational sessions is set for May 8, followed by the Retail Giants of Bedding Awards Dinner that evening. More educational sessions follow on the morning of May 9 before the conference adjourns at 11:15 a.m.
