Duck Dynasty bedding set for takeoff at King Koil

Line will roll out at Las Vegas Market

King Koil’s Duck Dynasty Relaxation modelWILLOWBROOK, Ill. — Top 15 bedding producer King Koil is shooting for success with its new Duck Dynasty mattress collection, which takes flight at the upcoming Las Vegas Market.

King Koil and A&ENetworks have signed a license agreement allowing King Koil to manufacture and sell an exclusive Duck Dynastybed line based on the reality TV series — the most-watched show in cable television history during its five seasons, officials said.

The nine-model innerspring collection, featuring camouflage accents, will be displayed in King Koil’s expanded Las Vegas show space, which now includes an additional 6,100 square feet and encompasses spaces A-535 to A-547 in the World Market Center.

“Our objective is to provide retailers with a reasonably priced line that has the brand pulling power to attract and engage the millions of loyal ‘Duck Dynasty’fans,” said Dave Roberts, president and chief operating officer of King Koil. “We also want to capitalize on the 18-49 viewership that the series draws and to associate the King Koil brand with a youth demographic that represents both current and emerging customers.”

Expected to retail from $399 to $1,099 in queen, King Koil’s Duck Dynasty mattress line incorporates layers of gel-infused contour foams, memory foams and other premium comfort materials. The beds have quilted covers in cream and use fabric featuring Duck Dynasty’strademarked brown/green camouflage duck pattern on the borders, handles and as decorative accents.

Duck Dynasty mattress line, the “Work Hard. Nap Hard.” Based in Louisiana, the reality TV show portrays the lives of the bearded, Christian-centric Robertson family, who became wealthy from the family’s Duck Commander business, which makes a duck-hunting call of the same name.

In its Las Vegas presentation, King Koil plans to leverage the popularity and entertainment value of the Duck Dynasty brand, the company said. The Duck Dynasty beds will be accompanied by new Duck Dynastyretail TV commercials and local ad concepts, life size in-store signage, and new headboard messaging and camouflage-accented top-of-bed accessories. Duck Dynastyinteractive games, activities and giveaways are also planned for retailers visiting the showroom.

With the additional space, King Koil’s total Las Vegas showroom footprint is now 19,000 square feet, representing one of the largest bedding spaces at the World Market Center, the company said. The market runs July 27-31.
