MESQUITE, Texas – Full-line adult and youth furniture resource Elements International Group has completed the move to its new domestic warehouse and office here.

The 487,200-square-foot facility is located on a 29.5-acre site in Mesquite that has allowed the company to consolidate three warehouse facilities in Texas including two in the Dallas Fort Worth area – Rockwall and Garland -and one previous Largo facility in Houston. Elements acquired Largo International earlier last year.

“The efficiencies we are already seeing in terms of shipping speed and our ability to offer a larger product assortment has changed our warehouse business,” said Mike Wurster, president and minority owner in the business.

The building also houses about 15,000 square feet of office space for Elements headquarters, which was previously located in Rockwall. The company said the larger office floorplan is designed to “drive cross departmental collaboration and provide ample space for company expansion.”

“The upgraded office space is proving, as we expected, to help both employee retention as well as our hiring efforts as we staff up to stay in front of our significant growth,” Wurster said. “The ability to collaborate across teams is driving a better customer experience. The building has also helped unleash the potential of our warehouse staff by making it possible to ship and receive at unprecedented levels.

“The capital expenditure to make this project a reality, although it looks and feels like a big investment, will turn into a cost savings as we grow and operate much more efficiently. This building is a stepping stone for the next chapter of Elements growth, and we have no intentions of slowing down.”
