Ethan Allen finds ‘Muses’ in new book

Coincides with big product launch

DANBURY, Conn. — Ethan Allen is launching a 328-page coffee table book this month that coincides with its newest product introductions.

In a release, the vertically integrated Top 100 company said the book, called “Muses,” isn’t a catalog, “but rather a distillation of the brand’s design DNA.”

“We call it ‘Muses’ because it is all about inspiration. It showcases the many ways people are living today, and the many ways Ethan Allen fits into those lives,” said Chairman and CEO Farooq Kathwari.

The publication coincides with Ethan Allen’s next wave of product introductions called The Next Classics. Last fall, the company introduced several hundred new designs, it said, and starting this month, hundreds more are coming to its roughly 200 Design Center showrooms.

In addition, all of the design centers are being renovated, relocated or refreshed.

Ethan Allen said that “well over 70% of its products” now come from North American workshops.

The company is introducing “Muses” at book launch events and style workshops at its Design Centers during May. The event calendar and digital version of the book is available on its website,, and free copies are available in its showrooms.
