Black Interior Designers Network names Weatherspoon chief development officer

NEW YORK — The Black Interior Designers Network has named Kia Weatherspoon, NCIDQ, as its chief development officer, effective immediately.

She will work closely with BIDN President Keia McSwain to oversee network programming and to further improve and expand upon partnerships with design industry supporters.

Weatherspoon is the founder of Determined by Design, a Washington D.C.-based full-service interior design firm for multifamily housing and small businesses located in economically challenged and emerging communities.

The BIDN was founded in 201 as a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion within the interior design industry.
